Technical assistance for AFD in definition of a financial and technical support project for the credit union network and FECAPH Le Levier: Diagnosis of capacity-building needs, study of opportunities for the development of agriculture credit.
Financing for agriculture remains insufficient in Haiti. The French Agency for Development (AFD) decided to support FECAPH Le Levier in development of its agricultural activities, by granting the institution a credit line and a subsidy.
HORUS provided its expertise to:
- Carry out a strategic and institutional diagnosis of FECAPH Le Levier and five of its credit unions, with a focus on agri-financing
- Analyze partnership opportunities for future agri-financing mechanisms
- Conduct a social and environmental performance assessment (ALINUS matrix)
- Formulate recommendations regarding a technical assistance program for the institution, and definition of the financing scheme to be granted to the federation (conditions, rates, reimbursement schedule, etc.)
