Feasibility study for an experimental financing scheme for agroforestry under an acceleration program for ecological and social transition through fair trade in West Africa.

The Equity Program is funded by the French Development Agency and the French Facility for Global Environment. It is managed by two French NGOs: Agronomes et Vétérinaires Sans Frontières (AVSF) and Commerce Equitable France (CEF). The program aims to accelerate the ecological and social transition through the development of fair trade. One of the objectives is to design a fund to facilitate access to credit for fair trade certified cocoa producer organizations to enable them to fund their agroecological transition.

HORUS contributed to the following elements:

  • A feasibility study for the Fund for the Agroecological Transition (FTAE)
  • Support for setting up the financing mechanism
