Supporting the Ethiopian professional association of MFIs in selecting and implementing a shared core banking system for member MFIs.
The Association of Ethiopian Microfinance Institutions (AEMFI) launched a shared Core Banking System (CBS) implementation project with a view to automating information collection, input and recording, and utilization processes. The solution had to be flexible in order to meet the various MFIs’ needs and evolutive to enable future integrations with innovative fintechs and technology providers.
HORUS brought its expertise in Management Information System (MIS) project management to bear in all phases: planning, functional and technical specification, software selection, testing, set-up and configuration with the publisher, and migration and implementation.
HORUS also worked on the specification of services expected between ETIFT (the MFI-owned special purpose organization) and the publisher, and between ETIFT and the MFIs, and on the business model of the shared CBS.
