Market study and technical assistance in designing a group lending product and methodology to serve urban women entrepreneurs

As part of its gender strategy, the First Microfinance Bank decided to introduce a group lending product to serve urban women entrepreneurs. HORUS assisted the MFI in:

  • Conducting a market study: review of the environment, including services offered by competitors; focus groups and individual interviews with women entrepreneurs
  • Designing a group lending product and a dedicated methodology, including organizational implications
  • Preparing an implementation plan for the pilot phase
